If Merlins loses to Auburn and continues his perfect record against AU, LSU, ARK and BAMA, who will be considered the better coach, Orgeron or Mullens?

Seems like the universal opinion was Orgeron = Fail.
However, Merlins seems to be a challenger.

I didn't see O win two bowl games or have a nine win season.

It must really suck to have any hope of happiness hang on "if Auburn beats State".
Whereas State fans will acknowledge that te sun will probably come up Sunday morning as we go to church and that God for what we have. The more important question here is how hard Auburn University gets rocked when we beat you tomorrow.

Cherry picked data to fit an agenda. Need better bait.

Let's look at it via computer rankings(Sagarin)...

Orgeron's teams at OM:
05: 102nd
06: 74th
07: 80th
Average: 85.3th

Mullen's teams at State:
09: 45th
10: 15th
11: 31st
Average: 30.3th

So, Mullen is(thusfar in his career) 55 teams better than Orgeron. No real comparison to be made here.

Seriously?

Mullen is pretty overrated but a worse gameday coach than Orgeron? No way.

Now, better recruiter than Orgeron?

Meh.He stocked us up pretty good but did leave us with 3 sec wins and some APR issues.

Msu is definitely the only school in the sec where mullin would be looked at as a football god. He's only beaten really shitty teams. 0 quality wins yet he's second to only xenu

Hilarious how quickly you throw your own team under the bus in trying to "get that overrated merlins."

This is about the dumbest thread I've seen on here in the past few days.

And that says a lot.

Not gonna happen, so wont matter. This game really is MSU's super bowl isnt it? I am surprised how big you guys have built this game up in your own minds.

You ask how hard it will be for AU to get over a loss tomorrow. it sounds to me like you folks are the ones who have built this up into a "rivalry".

A rivalry assumes some form of equality. Mississippi State is not the equal of Auburn in football. Never has been. never will be. Baseball is a different matter. You guys are a great baseball school. Kinda like AU and basketball. Nobody at Auburn gives a frick about Round ball.

4 of the last 5 years have been tremendous very close games. Yes, you have won more of them that we have. We've been literally one play away in 3 of those losses. Common sense says why we would be hyped out of our mind about this game and frustrated out of our mind about the past couple.

Do Oklahoma and Oklahoma St have a "rivalry"? Would you consider it one? I certainly would... Even though it is one of the most lopsided series between "rivals" in the country.

For every stupid auburn thread a MSU poster makes, 2 even stupider MSU threads are started by an auburn fan.

16 hours, please move along more quickly.

The only person that could challenge Orgeron's awfulness is Croom.
