Will the polls swing in reverse if ranked teams lose in week 1? For example: If Michigan gets lucky and beats Alabama - should they move to No. 1, 2, or 3? Will Bama drop behind Michigan's current ranking?

If AU beats Clemson will they move up to 14 or better? My guess is - No to all of the above because the Polls are BS. It would be nice to see results show in the polls after the first week and leave the preseason hype alone

Auburn beating Clemson does not mean Auburn is the #13 team in the nation. It would likely mean Clemson was overrated. Same thing for if Michigan beat Alabama.

Uh, i wouldnt go that far. We would likely drop down to #8 about the same spot at Michigan now and Michigan would prob move up behind USC, Oregon, LSU, OU, Michigan.

They would definitely be in the Top 5.

Bama would drop behind Michigan but Michigan wouldn't move to top 3, they'd be around top 5-7ish. Clemson would drop to the edge of the top 25/drop out and Auburn would be 18-21ish.

If Michigan beats Bama, they would have the best win and would have a good argument to be No 1, certainly a better argument than USC.

Auburn should be no better than 16 even if we destroyed Clemson. Which we will! :dancingbanana:

Why? Who are some teams better than Michigan that should be moved to the top 20 instead of them?

Hold your horses, fella.

Shoelace might not be able to hit the ocean if he was standing on the beach, but he's still an explosive play-maker and UM does return a great defense.

No it would mean Clemson was overrated, and Michigan is just damn good and Alabama is #2 and should play them in a rematch in the NC game to make sure. You know this already

I think Michigan would move to #3. Bama would fall to #6, maybe as far as #7.

Oh, you beat me to it, but I was going to say around 18-20. How can anything higher be justified?
