Per Anthony Dasher's twitter, sources expect Crowell to enroll at Alabama State on Thursday and start class on Monday. Hope the kid can turn his life around.

His main focus right now should be not going to jail. I hope he can as well but history has shown he's made bad decision after bad decision.

Best of luck to him at Lincoln Normal School.

He won't do any jail time. Any public defender could see to that and he's hired a damn good lawyer. The gun charge will be very hard to prosecute. He'll likely end up with a few years probation since his record is clean.

Would he able to play this year?

Yeah, since he's going down to an FCS school he'll be eligible to play.

Dammit, was kind of hoping he'd come to to GSU, we certainly like to run the ball...and he could play against UGA soon.
Alabama State?
Alabama State?

You think Crow could survive under Monken??
Kid would quit before y'all even kicked off this fall.

It's a lot easier said than done to lift a full finger print off the gun. Crowell states that the gun is not his and has not wavered on that. A halfway competent defense lawyer will be able to establish reasonable doubt as to whether he really knew about it. I'd expect to see a plea deal with probation offered or, if he does get convicted on a count, he will likely only receive time on probation and not jail time. No criminal record and no violent crime means Crowell likely gets off pretty light.
Simply put, without a confession from Crowell or a finger print off the weapon (could happen, but I doubt you'll see it) Crowell won't be convicted of a felony. No real evidence to tie him to ownership of the gun.

Alabama State is definitely not the school to go to to get away from the gun culture.

Why not go to South Alabama if he's going to go to a Bama school non-SEC? Guess he doesn't want to sit out.

I agree, and honestly I think he needs to go out to the West coast to really get away from all that shite at home. I hope he keeps his nose clean, but for some reason I doubt it.

100% agree brother. It didn't help that he had his cousin from back home (who I hear is a pretty terrible influence) on the team at UGA. Crow should get as far away from Columbus as possible.

It doesn't have to be his, for him to have possession of it. Altered serial number is a federal crime. Not a rinky dink city statute. You're buying what his lawyer is selling.
