Is Mark Richt a strict coach?

I know his players get in trouble all the time so is obviously isn't on that end. Is he strict on the discipline once they get arrested or in trouble? I'm having a debate with a UGA friend of mine and would love some input. TIA

Maybe he should have a little more discipline with his program and he would not have to be strict AFTER they get into trouble.

He kicks kids off the team like any other coach and gives suspensions. I think its not really that part of being a strict coach that is in question but the other little stuff and "fear of god" syle, that he lacks

Yes - he is strict but gets a bad rap due to a few bad eggs on the team. Most of the "offenses" are typical college student issues - MJ, scooter violations, suspended licenses, etc. with the notable exception of #socrow.

If I spent 4 years in Athens I would get arrested for doing something dumb at least once. I've only been there 4 times and I've had to avoid the cops twice. That city is way to much fun, I'm glad I only visit and don't live there

that was cornelius washington who was having a pity party
and i think the players love him and respect him but i think few fear him. they may fear losing their scholly, suspension, or maybe punishment runs but i can't imagine anyone is afraid of richt. he's not like the angry dad that saban is, he's more the grandpa, the one who never yells at you, and you love him to death and he may not scare you but when he says "i'm not mad, i am disappointed" it makes you feel awful.
that being said i think richt sucks and i look forward to new times, whenever they get here. until then i have to just bite my tongue and hope we continue to stock pile talent

JSW and others were posting too. i think it was a mistake not issuing a gag order and then chewing all their sorry asses out. our players are making asses of themselves.

I know me piling on is oh so predictable, which makes me hesitant to even post in this thread... but I can't imagine a post like Corn Wash's not being met with a swift backhand by the head coach.
I doubt anything will come of it. The thought to lash out at the fans should play out in the mind of a player like an assbeating from the coach. Obviously it doesn't there.

He'll pay for it. Richt and Tereshinski have some creative/fricked up punishments for stuff like this. A few players I know say they suck REALLY bad.
