At least it was in a hard fought close game. This record will stand the test of time, and will take an amazing performance to be bested.
Congrats Hogs. Stanek was pretty impressive. I was waiting for the miracle finish, but sometimes you just come up short.

Damn, just read where SC had a 22-game, NCAA-record, postseason winning streak. It sucks that it had to end to another SEC school. That's definitely nothing to be ashamed of SC fans, and good luck to Arky for the rest of the year. Damn fine accomplishment, SC. Damn fine.

I'll definitely be rooting for Kent. Do not want to see that SC team again. Unfortunately I have this feeling that SC will win convincingly.
Eta: BTW, SC is an awesome team, was on the edge of my seat the whole time, much like Games 2 and 3 of the Baylor series.

Quite a ride SC's been on. I rooted for them the last 2 CWS, can't do it this year. Hope Kent St. pulls off another W.

It sucks that it had to end to another SEC school.
Why, would you have preferred that it be to a team from another conference?
I would imagine that if USC-E had to lose they had rather lose to an SEC brother, because it makes our conference look just that much stronger, when the ONLY team that could beat the Gamecocks was another SEC school.

This is baseball though. Any of these teams win on a given day. I just hope Kent throws everything they have and win a hard game. Then we crush them after being completely drained.

I'd rather it end to an SEC school than an ACC or PAC12 school. Or other unmentioned conference.
