The selection committee often rigs the brackets so that the SEC can get no more than 4 teams to Omaha. This year, the potential is actually there for 7 SEC teams to make into the final 8. If you include Mizzou and A&M, then we could have an "All SEC" field this year. Mizzou as a 4 seed seems to be the long shot for this.

Do you believe that this would be a good thing or would you rather see LSU go up against teams from outside of the conference?

Don't worry, we won't choke this year. We promise.

TCU has not impressed me this year. A&M or Ole Miss is coming out of the CS regional

It really would be awesome to have both OM and State advance to Omaha. We could show you how to get there.

Omaha would be a fricking shite show if those two and LSU made it. It would be all LSU, OM and State fans getting fricked up the whole time.

I'd really like to see both Mississippi schools make it.

I originally posted this on the LSU board, but moved it here because it really is more of an SEC topic.

One of the reasons for the question: I've wondered whether or not the SEC dominance has been a good or bad thing in baseball. On one hand, you would think that it would make a difference if an SEC team was on the bubble and the strength of the SEC would help get them in, but that didn't seem to help LSU last year. In fact, there have been a few years where it seemed that the committee took an affirmative action approach to seeding teams to make it easier for certain teams from other conferences and regions to make it to the finals.

They're actually going to move the CWS to Hoover if 7 teams make it.

That's the thing....you can't. They are still representing the Big 12 until their season is officially over.
