Trotter had previously announced that he wasn't returning to Auburn for his senior season, but it was unclear what his plans were from there.

Why not? If he's not drafted what will it matter. Hell be in the same position as before.

He seemed a little ill on the radio yesterday.

Would you want to sit on the bench as a backup to a sophomore as a 5th year senior?

You guys said he was leaving because he was just done with football.

People who are "done with football" do not declare for the NFL Draft.

Just sayin'

I think chiz made the right call. All his qb's were sucking, so he went with the younger guys. Makes sense.

He is done with football and actualy enrolled in grad school. He has another year to complete that. I believe he is just trying to get on a practice squad to make some easy money. But will still be in school

People who are done with football sometimes do declare for the draft.. usually people with no shot who have graduated.

For example, Sean Penix... walkon player at the University of Arkansas declared early for the draft as a redshirt junior.. on the same day Darren Mcfadden did.. thus ensuring Razorback immortality before he graduated, despite never seeing the field.

Yes, he was on the radio yesterday and said he was tossing his name in the draft, because you never know what could come from it. Doesn't hurt to see.

Zactly.

I refuse to hate or laugh on a kid who is persuing his dreams and at least has a shot.

Well it may not have been a week ago but this is not the first time I've seen this. It was at least a few days ago...because me and my friend had a good laugh at it.

edit: Andy Staples tweeted he was leaving this past Monday.
