KSU had three or four players carted off the field last night and a whole bunch of guys looking shell-shocked after getting blocked (Joe Adams return) or tackled

Then there's this

DD Jones doesn't hesitate to body slam the KSU running back to the turf; his head makes contact with the ball carrier's helmet and the ground, but when he gets up he looks like an enraged madman

Spencer Hall of SB Nation had this to say about DD Jones and his helmetless tackle:

D.D. Jones already looks terrifying. The Arkansas defensive lineman is huge, has a massive lumberjack beard, can probably squat your house, and looks to be at least 15 years older than everyone on the team. His presence across from you in a three-point stance is already its own horrific fight-or-flight scenario.

When he loses his helmet, though? There may no words for the horror that is D.D. Jones, unconcerned for his own welfare or yours, running into you and finishing with a helmetless piledriver.

I'm proud that my hogs represented the SEC well last night

For the SEC's 9th ranked Defense to handle them like they did, I'd say the Defenses are pretty good.

I hate to bring the past up but you are right...the 2010 season AU hurt more players that year than I have ever seen. Every game at least 2 or 3 went down from the other team...

Awesomely funny. As a former Rugby player I loved watching that during the game.

thats going beast mode

i think most of their team realized after that play, that they were up against something more than they were ready for. DD just went instant legend with that one play

congrats, piggies. did well last night, and had a great season

From the few times I've passed through Bastrop, I think you have to be pretty tough to survive there.

aTm has at least had the experience of playing Arkansas for the past three years, although our defense has mostly not been as physical as I'd like (barring last night)

Mizzou, however, is really gonna get its shite pushed in

It won't take our new brothers long to figure out what kind of players it takes to win in the SEC.

Petrino is still trying to figure it out. When the other team is out of timeouts, and you have the ball deep in your own territory, it's okay to run a draw and take your 17 pt lead into halftime instead of chunking the ball deep and risking a turnover that shrinks your lead to 10 points and giving the other team momentum.

He got lucky once in the past, but the turnover will happen more times than hitting the one miracle play will.

I was proud of him in the 3rd quarter when he punted on 4th and 2 after the timeout. Arky pinned K State back deep, forced a punt and scored a td on the ensuing drive. Maybe Petrino learned something last night.
