I know that there is not a single soul here who listens to the Finebaum show ( ), but he recently went to Iowa to visit a regular caller there who has cerebral palsy...

Finebaum's article on "Robert from Waterloo"

BTW, if its Germans, I'm sorry...I searched Finebaum and got nothing.

Yep, the search function blows or you would have found two threads a day on fineblow. LSU fans love them some fineblow.

You're right. Sorry I didn't even look at it. Article is recent, but it is old news. And the search feature is lacking.

I remember the story on the radio, and I remember it being discussed here...that was why I posted the article.

Robert is always my favorite caller. I always refuse to turn off the radio until I hear his call.

Tammy put that ugly arse West Georgia shirt on Robert. Also Robert does bring a different essence to the show and his calls seem to keep things other than sports in perspective in a world where sports rule.Robert brings his own show to the show.

Great respect for Robert and especially Sirius XM college sports channel (91 I think)for allowing him to have some fun. Gives me clear perspective everytime I hear him.

Yeah, I was really turned off by how the conversation dragged when he was on, but it does give the show a different perspective.

Thanks for posting. Finebaum's article is a reminder to us all that in spite of all the recent tragic stories and events in the world of sports and elsewhere, there are people like Robert and many others who can be an inspiration and bring warmth to our hearts, no matter the situation or time of year, if we allow them to do so.
