They've both been honored by the media and others who give awards etc. It's just weird to me that only one of them will show up on someone's all-american list then the other in someone else's. It's like people can only vote for one bama linebacker. They're tops in the nation no doubt but who is better and why? Bammers what say you?

Alabama is #1 in 6 defensive categories and no awards to show for it. I'm starting to think Alabama fans voted themselves #1 in those categories.

They do really different things so idk. I think Upshaw will be better in the NFL, if he can get in a good system that can utilize his skills. I think Hightower will be good but not AMAZING.

Who? Did he play on Dec 3rd?

I watched the replay and at about 4:00 left in the game, LSU made their arse's quit. Nothing left in the tank, for Bama, they were done. -10 in overtime was not a surprise and LSU just kept plugging in those weak DEs to sack AJ. Big Sam's last sack was AJ quitting before he got hit again!

Depends on what you are looking for. Hightower is probably more consistent and more fundamentally sound. Upshaw has more raw talent and explosiveness to really take over a game.

Upshaw will probably be more valued by the NFL because he is the better pash rusher which is what everyone is looking for, but Hightower will be a good NFL LB too.

How did Montgomery look when he was sacking your QB in overtime to set up an impossible FG attempt? He looked pretty strong on that play.

I was halfway kidding. But relative to his size Hightower is pretty fast.
