I really thought they would pick FSU over VA. I'm guessing the bowl folks are planning on AU buying up all the tix. There are a ton of AU grads/fans around Atlanta. UVA will be lucky to have 5,000 there.

I'd imagine the crowd will have an Auburn flavor to it, but I still expect UVA to show up. I'd imagine they're a whole lot happier about their season than Auburn fans are.

Probably so, and it's their first bowl appearance in a few years. I can honestly say, I know shite about nothing when it comes to UVA football. I think the last time I watched one of their games was when Tiki and Ronde Barber were there.

I know it's two different schools and a lesser bowl, but VT brought a good crowd to the Sugar Bowl in '05. I guess we'll find out how their state rival travels.

This crowd will be overwhelmingly Auburn.

When do tickets go on sale?

The game will be a sell-out and UVA will bring a lot of people.

UVA beat both FSU and GT, so they at least went with head-to-head and showed that the regular season meant something...

I personally would have preferred FSU, but FSU was also there last year.

hopefully we spend the next month getting Frazier plenty of reps. If he isn't starting that game, I'm probably not going to watch. I can't suffer through another Mosely/Trotter offensive abortion.

someone posted on an auburn board that FSU told the CFA Bowl that they would turn down the invite so they could play Notre Dame in FL.

You say you don't know anythign about UVA football and then make this assertion? What a joke. We've sold 8000 tickets already just through the UVA ticket office, and a ton of people are still buying and finalizing plans. I would surprised if it was anything less than 15-20K there. Of course, I expect Auburn to outnumber us, but that is due to geographical proximity and school size. Good thing we're all wearing blue and orange though huh? You'll never be able to tell

Only got 18? That's on par with every year (GT sold their allotment of 17.5k in 2008).

I think we'll sell our allotment...that's not even counting the folks buying from stubhub and such. The tickets through the school are in the enzone apparently.
