Get locked out of the BCS title game. The uproar for a playoff system will be much bigger than it ever has been, these 2 perennial powerhouse football programs would be completely irrate. Of couse this is assuming LSU takes care of business and OK beats OK ST.

I for one would love to have seen a playoff this year.

Doubtful. Bama had their chance, and OK lost to a terrible team. Both may be disappointed but not because of the BCS system.

I wish people would realize this and stop vouching for these teams. Let the season play out and we'll see what happens.

Not if LSU and OSU finish the season undefeated.

Oregon begs to differ.

Just take one for the rest of the nation!

It leaves whichever team is #2 in the BCS. My post was in response to the OPs assertion that OK and Bama fans would go crazy mad if they did not go to the title game. I was simply disagreeing with that, not making a statement on which team deserves the shot in the title game.

its going to be OK and LSU again...

OK will be OSU, oregon loses to USC, their out, and people dont want a rematch of LSU vs Bama or Oregon...it would be Oklahoma...vs LSU again, in New orleans...

as long as we win out the regular season lsu can still lose to Georgia in the SECCG and still be in the NTG...

IF Arky upsets us, then its gets dicey..because of the 3 way tie rules...which are extremely complicated...

No real complication. All three would most likely be 11-1 in that case, and within five spot of one another. The only thing of significance at that point is where each fall in the BCS standings. If Alabama and LSU are the top two, among the three, in the BCS rankings then LSU will go to Atlanta. If Alabama and Arkansas are, then it's Alabama. If it's Arkansas and LSU, then it's Arkansas.

That is what is so mind numbingly retarded about LSU fan responses to Bama fans repsonses to a rematch. You constantly hear "you had your chance" which is a patently absurd comment if your are deciding between teams that have ALL lost a game. The implication is that you had your shot against the #1 team and now someone else deserves a shot because you lost. That ignores the fact that this essentially implies that a team that lost to a unranked team deaerves the same shot as a team that lost to #1. In other words in the minds of LSU fans a home loss to 5 loss Texas Tech is the same as an OT loss to the #1 team in the country.

Some BCS guru was on ESPN today and he said that if Okie State drops a game, whether it be to Oklahoma or someone else, all Alabama has to do is beat Auburn convincingly and they are in the BCS title game. Just let it all play out and we'll see what happens. If OSU beats OU then everything becomes moot.

if oklahoma beats oklahoma state and the rest of the teams win out.....

it will be lsu vs bama II

you can agree or disagree but that's the way it will be.

the ncaa is all about money and a rematch will bring in far more $$$$ than anyone else you could put against lsu.

i think OU arse stomps OSU....but thats just me....and i think when they do that....voters will move them to 2....no rematch with oregon or Bama....not because i dont want that, because most people dont want that...even though i think Bama is easily number 2 in the nation....
