Frick Bama/AU. I'm tired of the media suck fest with those two teams.

That will be a good one. Any young SEC fan should watch it to learn a little about SEC history and how modern football conferences came to be.

Seems like it should be the game that changed college football, not the play though. Or are they trying to argue that if that ball is not pick 6'd then other conferences would have never had title games because it would have kept 11-0 Bama out of the national title game?

This. A lot of people were very skeptical about a post-season playoff game, saying that it could hurt a team's national championship hopes. And they were almost right. Florida gave Alabama all they could handle and the game, as you know, was very much in doubt until that pick 6 by Langham with three minutes to play. Had Alabama managed to lose that game, I doubt you see conference expansion and the conference championship game appear in other conferences.

One could argue that game was the birth of modern college football as far as economics and marketing are concerned.
