Appealing for a penalty flag

Is there anything more effeminate in all of sports than when a player flips his hand in the air looking for a penalty flag? I am not a fan of this practice.

i'd agree except that the SEC refs are pretty bad and need some convincing sometimes

If your team gets the penalty called in your favor because you did it, the result trumps however it looks.

Your assumption would mean all NFL receivers act effeminately.

when the player does it, and then 5-10 seconds after the play is over the ref throws a flag

Vandy drew a couple of false starts from us because a d-linemen would jump up asking for a false start, then our o-line would jump in reaction.
