I can't remember a year when the SEC has been as down as it is this year. I keep hearing LSU is going to have to throw the ball when they play SEC defenses, but as bad as SEC defenses are this year I am not sure that's a true statement (excluding Alabama). Does anyone in the SEC play halfway decent defense besides LSU and Bama?

Ole Miss might have a good defense.

BYU up 13-0 on texas.

Memphis losing 23-0 to Arkansas State.

Arky and Florida are decent. Kentucky seems to be OK too. Everyone else looks abysmal though.

Auburn's defense stopped the grinder.

Hard to say so far, but I think once they get settled into Minter's new hybrid defense they will be good.

UGA's D didn't play absolutely awfully tonight, especially considering that USCe's Ol was allowed to hold and block in the back all game long. How Penn Wagers is allowed to still call any UGA game is beyond me.

Oh and they were missing their top ILB and had many others playing hurt. Still got to buck up and stop someone eventually though.
