“During the recruitment of a football prospective student-athlete, Mississippi State was approached with an offer to provide an extra benefit. This offer was refused.
“MSU alerted the Southeastern Conference about the offer. MSU did not have any specific incriminating information about any other school, and thus could not provide any.
“As Commissioner Slive mentioned today, the SEC is not an investigative body. MSU has cooperated fully and completely with the NCAA from the time it began asking for our assistance, and looks forward to providing any and all help in this ongoing investigation.”

I'm guessing that changed.

This is where Slive's actions puzzle me. If the SEC knew of the allegations, the request for an investigation should have happened immediately. I guess Slive wants a clean SEC, so he sits on it.

I think MSU is in damage control....and burying the skeletons in the closet...

I think the Leg Humpers got out bid by the Barners...

I think the Leg Humpers will probably come out of this nixed up a bit....or do a great job painting the picture that the Barners are the biggest cheats to get the hounds off of them.

Counting the minutes for the MSU circle jerk with 601 soon...

Seems that MSU sure is chirping a tad bit lately...

Why the chirping? Projecting a bit? I think those who talk a bunch at times panic because the feeling of guilt.

It sounds like everybody involved in this story is in damage control and worried about skeletons in the closet.

Has anyone said MSU's offense is explosive? However, you and your fellow Cats did run your mouth about your high powered offense...which put a whopping 17 on the board. The 2nd loss to Mullen and this is the 2nd year you'll be outrecruited by him.

Slive absolutely threw them under the bus earlier today in case you didn't notice. They just fired back and said he is full of shite.

Where in any post I said UK would win in Starkhell?

Keep chirping...I think MSU is covering up to get the hounds from Indy off the trail...

Slive wants a clean SEC, so he pretends the problem doesn't exist and wrings his hands like an old woman.

It's time for his arse to go.

It's time for Slive to go yes, but whomever replaces him will be just as bad.

No SEC commish would ever do the heavy lifting that needs to be done to clean up the SEC. And honestly why should one?

Mark Emmert will have some say so in this. This is the best move the NCAA could do. He will move on this one, long overdue.
