i'll think auburn got away with something and joe got the bad end of the deal

He may not be the fastest at posting the scoops but Joe Schad does a very good job of making sure his sources are right. He rarely reports something false.

i think in the public's eyes yes. in my eyes no. i have worked as a part time reporter and there are plenty of times when we think we are chasing down facts and it all evaporates very quickly because we got bad information or something. most of the time we dont report anything until it is concrete but with all the stuff going on with cam and the "guilty until proven innocent" thing there is probably crazy pressure to report any time the guy farts and it smells different

Which espn guy was the one that said Miles was going to Michigan? Does anyone remember ?

herbie said miles to meechigan
in public opinion yea i could see him losing a great deal of cred.
eta: a coaching rumor is a little different than this story.
people miss on coaching moves all the time and from things ive heard kirk was dead on and it leaking was what kept miles here.

I think he knows that is on the line so that is why im thinking they aren't just flying with these rumors and stuff. they probably knew for a little bit and were checking facts and shite. Like i said this is a little different than a coaching rumor with those its always possible that he changed his mind or something with these things more cred is on the line and stakes are higher

Well I hope Stan Marsh uses his witchcraft and whatever other fricking drugs he uses to convince people to believe that bullshite to make people believe Schad's a liar.

I've got a feeling some reporter, or Dan Mullen or someone is gonna wake up with a scooter in their bed

Schad was the guy who tweeted that 13 UNC players would miss the LSU game, and most people thought he was nuts.

DO you honestly think that ESPN would allow him to report this if it was not true???

This is not a "here's whats about to happen" story. The Cam deals are all in the past. Its just a matter of uncovering the events. If you only report what you know or can prove, then you're solid.

Scientology doesn't PRAY to Xenu, they want to avoid him, since he's the evil galactic emperor locked away in a dimensional prison from which none have ever escaped.
Pray to Elron.

Joe was dead set on his sources claiming Texas to the Pac10 was a done deal.
