Bama and Wikipedia

I thought that Bama had to vacate their 1993 SEC Western Division championship. Were they able to successfully appeal that? I ask this, because Florida's 1984 SEC title is correctly listed as "vacated" on this LINK, but not Bama's '93 West title.

Obviously it's because one of the creators of Wikipedia graduated from Alabama.

It doesn't, but considering no one else was present in Birmingham that year, Wikipedia lists the two participants. Regardless, it's up to the SEC to "vacate" those type of things, not the NCAA. No different than the BCS, AP, and FWAA deciding to take away USC's 2004 title.

No big deal. I was just wondering if Bama had won an appeal that I hadn't heard of, that's all...because I would have figured that Auburn fans would monitor the site 24 hours per day to make sure that it stays accurate with regards to Bama.

The list says "Alahomo" if you scroll down. I'm sure that is what he is getting at.

There are a couple Aubies who are all over that site 24-7. AuburnPilot, and one other guy whose name I don't remember. They're hypersensitive and they remove any remotely negative information about the barn even if it's accurate. They wouldn't allow the "Grand Theft Auburn" nickname to be used on Wikipedia.
