With all these recent commitments, who do you believe will have the top class in the SEC? Bama has had 56 consecutive national recruiting championships, so other than them who looks good? LSU is in solid position to be at the top with or without Sylve in my opinion. Florida also looks to have another very solid class.

It depends on how many Alabama takes in the 2011 class. We are seeing a massive push from the BCS title. Which is to be expected. It will come down to Alabama and LSU for the top class in the SEC, and both will challenge Texas nationally.

They made up atleast 8 of those. Arkansas claims one back in the 80s

Agree with this. LSU has a great in-state class to boost our rankings and put us in position for a run at the top. UA has their recent BCS championship to help with theirs (if not overtake all other contenders) BCS champs = best recruiting tool.

Yeah just talking about SEC, and Texas isnt in the SEC (not yet). But yeah i could recruit at Texas and put up a top 3 class every year.

He'll sign with Texas. Especially with the Sims guy committing to OSU, and Green most likely going to Nebraska.

It may be easier, but you've still got to know how to recruit. Texas was lost under John Mackovic, as well as USC under Paul Hackett.

couple of OOS guys to keep an eye on are Doran Grant, and Wade Lyons. Both have been in contact with our staff a good bit, and Lyons is VERY good friends with PP.

Travis Hughes LB from Virgina was another

If LSU can keep who we have currently from jumping ship, and pick up a top rated QB, which is a huge need since it looks like ZL will go MLB, we should have the best. Our linemen with lael collins, freak Johnson, and that other big louisiana boy alone is sick. But bama will definitely challenge as will.. Ahem.. Auburn

God I think ZL would solve a lot of problems not only on the football team, but also the baseball team. I know its unlikely, but that would be awesome if he somehow ends up on campus.

All good points. Very pleased with our recruiting this year just hope we can keep it up. Hard to recruit against Fla. and the defending BCS champs, but we seem to be holding our own.
