Who is the player that had tons of hype, probably still gets it, but just has not lived up to the expectations that are given to him. I am going with:
Mario Fannin

Onterio McCaleb, Darren Bates,or Lee Ziemba. I cannot believe people were talking about Ziemba going pro when he cannot avoid false starts and Malzahn was horrified to let Todd drop back and pass.
Alabama is the defending national champions and the only rating that matters is champion and they all earned it.

Prince Miller or Reshad Jones:09 team.
it's hard to pick guys for 2010 as we are moving to a new defense and replacing alot of starters.

From a recruiting ranking coming out of high school, I'll go with B.J. Scott, but he's also my breakout player for this year.

Based on that we could also add Tyler Love...

I expect Tyler Love to win the RT job, B.J. Scott isn't assured a starting job, but should get in on nickel and dime at least.

Julio is not overrated in my opinion without Julio teams could have done even more to stop our running game. And he is a great blocker.

True but he wasn't brought to Alabama just to be a "great blocker".

I would have said Bryce Brown....

Mccalleb. Bates is not even close to overrated.

And you'll see that again in 2010, despite what the haters say. People seem to forget what he did in 2008.

Jevan Snead... oh wait nevermind. Pat Patterson

Tyler Love. He'll never sniff the field. On defense it's.........not sure if we have one. Maybe the LSU transfer Jones.

What are you talking about? He's possibly the front-runner at RT.
Posted on 3/20/10 at 11:36 am to CapstoneGrad06
How is he a front runner at RT? I'll eat my crow if he does win the job but I've not heard one favorable review of Love since he got here. He wasn't even a backup last year, Alfred McCoulough a former DL was backup at both LT and RT last year.

He's a front-runner because he and McCullough will compete for the job.

Not sure how you can say McCalleb at this point... he had a decent TRUE FRESHMAN season and was injured for much of the 2nd half of the season.
I'd pick someone who's been around a while longer... Fannin has yet to live up to the hype... Kodi Burns should get consideration based on the love he received from the fans in 2007.
