When I was in a band, we got booked to play in Lubbock, just off campus. As far as I knew, our record wasn't even sold in any stores around there. We had just under 3000 people at that show. I immediately assumed there wasn't anything to do within 200 miles.

I haven't been everywhere, but I've been to the TT campus and I think you may be right...

I was out there a few years ago and we were eating at a steakhouse and a cowgirl was making fun of my jeans because they weren't Wranglers. I looked down and she was wearing sandals with her jeans. Of course I went on about how could a cowgirl ever be seen without boots under her jeans.

It was August and it was probably 120 degrees on ground.

I really thought Tuberville would have gone after the USF job (maybe he did and was turned down, who knows) I thought that would be more his style...school located in the middle of rich recruiting grounds....in a BCS Conference that would be very winnable (compared to the Big 12)

I wish him the best of luck...
