There's no motive behind this, just tired of reading the clusterfrick on the rant. I just saw how Clemson took their division, and what's the deal with Dabo? Did y'all always know he was going to do this well? I hadn't heard of the guy until this year, so I was just curious. Clemson could be a hell of a program with the right guy.

I hoped he would. It was looking shakey at the beginning of the year, but I'm glad he's got em moving in the right direction. Hope he takes the ACC by storm.

Always a good coach and a GREAT recruiter, but I didn't see him doing this well as a head coach. Heard he is a good guy also! Good Luck to him!

The ACC is pretty weak. Dabo might turn out to be a great coach but right now I'd say he still looks like he's in over his head.

He was a very good recruiter as an assistant.

I just hope that clown never ends up near our program.

I'm hoping he grows into it over the next few years and is successful. Would be nice to have someone to bring back home with good credentials when the time comes.

Dabo gets after it on the recruiting trail.

I think most people will tell you this is the most important thing in recruiting.

IMHO, it's really hard to take over for someone when you were already on that staff. Especially when that program/team was considered a failure the year(s) before.

He's done one hell of a job and if they win the ACC he gets my vote for Coach of the Year. And yes, over Nick Saban.

I always liked him as a player and assistant at Alabama, and hoped he do well as a head coach. Its hard to step right in and have success as a first year head coach though...I hope he can keep things going in the right direction after Spiller leaves.

BTW, Saban tried to hire Dabo back to Bama (twice I think)...but Swinney's loyalty to Tommy Bowden (who got him back in coaching) kept him at Clemson. Its worked out very well for him.

I had totally forgotten about that. I think it was 2 times he tried also. Seems there was an article about it not long after he completed his staff.
