Anyone hear any new info on him? I forgot about his mom being murdered. There are all kinds of rumors flying around tidesports about him.

Some dude who cam eon here and threatened the board for a rumor. I can't remember what though. It'll come to me.

apparently, some people think he is transferring to Bama. Sounds like BS. I would think this sort of thing would be impossible to do this close to the start of fall classes

Exactly what I am thinking. The stuff about hardships and immediate clearance make it even more convoluted and unlikely.
Keep in mind that the rumor is originating from a site where the majority of posters believe that LSU offered Eddie Lacy, Luther Davis, and Robby Green.

If he was transferring to be closer to family it would only make sense he go to South Alabama and play immediately. Unless of course he has family in central AL then it would make sense to transfer to Bama. But if he transfers to Bama he would only have 2 years left to play instead of 3.

Luther Davis did have a LSU offer though, did he not? I thought he decommited from LSU to go to Bama.

- Committed to LSU
- Took visit to Tuscaloosa without telling coaches and actually lied about it
- Coaches pulled offer
- He commits to Bama

I would assume that to be able to decommit from LSU, he would have had a committable offer in the first place.

If you're talking about Davis, yes, he did have an offer, but it was pulled after his visit to Tuscaloosa.

Yes, I'm talking about Luther Davis. Regardless of whether it was pulled or not, Davis in fact had an offer.

At the early part of his recruitment, yes, because he was committed to LSU. In the end when he decided to go to Alabama, he did not.
Les has actually discussed about his situation before which I thought was surprising.
