Because that's the loser mentality and the approach the old generations of OM fans had... Almost all the posters on this Board are the new generation of OM fan that understands part of building a program is getting your arse handed to you every now and again by scheduling home and homes with the best programs in the country.

While this method does work, it is not the only one that exists.

Sometimes...every now and then...we can agree.

Another advantage of scheduling a really strong OOC team is sneaking into the 4 team playoff... I'm not saying OM is anywhere near that level nor will we be in the next couple years.... But don't be surprised when 2 SEC teams are both in the playoff... 1 of them being a 1 loss team sliding ahead of the 2 loss team that got beaten in Atlanta... You wanna know how they'll chose that team over say a 1 loss PAC 10 team ? The strength of their OOC opponent

It'd be cool to play a PAC 12 school but there's a reason we never have... It just isn't beneficial for either side... They aren't coming here and getting players and we sure as shite arent going out there and bringin kids back here to play at OM.

And yes, Berkeley would be like a different country to guys like Bo Wallace and Chief Brown

I really hope we don't just schedule a bunch of ACC and Big 12 teams.

You're probably going to see a lot of ACC since the other three already went to 9 conference games.

We could just leave the SEC and join C-USA.... That would make the road a lot easier..... SMH at your logic

I've been to some big stadiums across the country and would love to see us (and other sec schools) play in those venues. I would love a home and home with Ohio State. Sign me up for USCw, let's go beat the breaks off Miami.

Meh, Miami kind of sucks to visit to be honest and their games look lame as shite, although it would be big for recruiting. I'd rather play at Ucla or UW. Personally, but I understand from the recruiting standpoint why it isn't as beneficial. Luckily, it's not us that has to figure all of this out...

Yeah I wasn't saying it has to be those 3 only. I just giving a few examples. But yeah I'm glad for the most part our fan base wants the big games on our schedule. That's a good sign

I'll tell you where. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

we could demolish CU. Oh they are pitiful right now. I like someone's earlier mention of Miami or NC, Cal would be fun, Nebraska or Iowa...
