I wouldn't mind firing him. AK brought in less talent but had no issue getting his average of 20 wins. Kermit doesn't seem to be able to handle the bigger leagues. I'm sure Keith will keep him around for another year though

Fan excitement is basically non existent.. I don’t see much enthusiasm for season tickets next year by keeping Kermit..
And it just kicks the can down the road another year to a rebuild. Go on and rip the bandaid off and start over is how I view it .

It's really unfortunate, too. Others don't think of us as supporting basketball, getting excited about hoops, etc. but I really believe our fanbase would if we had something to get excited about. In fact I'm sure we would.

Why do we suck at basketball so much? You’d think switching from the Tad Pad to the Pavilion would’ve changed our team at least slightly. I mean I know we have never been known for Basketball, but imo we have one of the top 25 venues in CBB now. Why are we the same shite program after the move?

We were excited well enough when we simply had teams on the bubble in the Tad Pad. The issue is that we haven't even caught a sniff of the bubble the past few seasons, let alone being a tournament eligible team.

Yea, I’m not gonna lie, I was excited for Kermit after his first season. But now not so much. You can tie in recruiting with coaching, but are we gonna get anyone better? I just don’t see a coach accepting the Ole Miss basketball job that’s gonna flip this program around. I kinda see us hiring a coach who does the same thing. Gets us excited, and then fails long term. Idk how to change our program around unless money and NIL are involved.

It'd be a lot of fun for students and those within a 1 hr driving distance. I just don't see the ability to pull big crowds consistently for basketball no matter how great the basketball team is. For that reason I think the basketball program will always have a hand tied behind it's back. Too many weekday games.

Thank God the regular season is over. I don't care what talent Kermit brings in, he can't win consistently at this level no matter his roster...

What sucks is the guy can really recruit. He just hasn’t been able to develop them once they get there.

We went 4-14 in the league and several out of conference losses to teams we should beat.
Fans were not showing up and gave up very early this season.
How do they expect to get them back?
Gas is gonna be sky high with inflation too.. people are just not gonna spend what little discretionary income they have on season tickets for a potentially shite team again with a coach that hasn’t been cutting it.
There is no excitement and it’s pretty much tourney or fired next year for Kermit and I don’t see us going from this to the tournament in a year. Keith Carter is simply kicking the can down the road for another rebuild
