sorry to hijack but no way I wanted to start a new thread. When do yall find out if you got season tickets?
Posted on 3/21/16 at 9:53 pm to WG_Dawg
Sometime after the 31st I think.

I saw the 31st was the deadline to order, but I mean how/when will you know if you were actually awarded them?
Posted on 3/22/16 at 3:35 pm to WG_Dawg
You'll get tickets if you ordered them. Now it's just a matter of waiting until June I think before you get to select seats (date is based on priority).

How could this be assured? Ole Miss has been really good recently and the home schedule is insane. If you don't have any priority points/contribution previously, how can you be guaranteed tickets?

They always announce when tickets are close to selling out. Last year they didn't sell out until July I think. With the NEZ expansion adding about 4,000 seats and the inevitable amount of people not renewing, I'm sure you'll get seats.
They'll sell out for sure and are probably getting close to what you're saying about needing priority but we do have a 2nd SEC school 90 miles down the road in Mississippi. I think we're doing pretty good.

thanks for the response. I've obviously never contributed and didn't this year as well, I simply went on and requested 2 tickets.
this is where I'm so confused though. Despite messing around on the SECR sometimes, in reality ole miss has been really good at football recently and that doesn't look to slow down anytime soon. But the cherry on top of that is the home scheduled includes uga, bama, auburn, and msu this year. It seems to me that you'd have record number of ticket requests. What am I missing?
So help me understand a timeline...since I applied for tickets (and my card was charged) in mid-march, can you ballpark ANY kind of time frame on when I woudl know. Also, HOW will I know? Do they send me an email saying "you got tickets", or do I just go to the mailbox one day and there they are?

Apparently we've only sold out 3 times in program history: 2009, 2014, and 2015. Last year they announced the sellout at the end of June. Hopefully that puts it into perspective for you.
This year they moved the deadline to renew/order tickets up one month so the timeline could be different. I think they'll email at the end of May saying how you'll be able to select seats online and to be expecting another email with your selection date. Then you'll get like a 3 day reminder before the selection date sometime in June depending on your priority.
All of that could move up one month since the deadline changed this year.

When you say order, you just mean choose seats right? I thought the payment I already made was all I had to do, since I am not going to contribute.

Oh yeah sorry.. and if your seats require a donation, you'll have to pay that when you select the seats.

I would assume mine don't though. When I went to the site to order the other week, it asked me if I wanted to make a contribution and I said no. Would they ask/force me to later on?
Posted on 3/24/16 at 2:12 pm to WG_Dawg
None of the SEZ seats require a donation but the rest do. You should be fine. The reason they asked you then is you get 1 point per $100 or something like that. You could have donated to improve your priority.

Thanks. I've seen that chart before but I"m assuming it's meaningless for my situation since most of the language at the bottom talks about "minimum contribution to keep your renewable seats". I'm not worried about them being renewable since I won't ever buy OM season tickets again other than this year.

Maybe it's just me but putting students right next to the visitors section seems like a bad idea.
