If you think a senators job is to bring as much money home as possible you are part of the problem.

I really am curious, why else would you want the senator with one of the worst earmark records in history in charge of appropriations unless you thought he would bring as much home as he could? When other senators earmark bullshite people in our state cry about it but if we get the money it's all of a sudden ok. I'm just trying to understand the logic behind people thinking that's ok.

You say this as if earmarks are inherently bad. I don't think that is a universally held idea.

Politics is the ultimate "two wrongs make a right" arena. For some reason, that's how voters behave. I don't get it either.
