I'm not thrilled with it but I'll take it over years passed. Overall I'm pleased. The "what-ifs" are the biggest knock.

Every team has what-ifs at the end of the year unless you're Alabama. The SEC West is so even and loaded with talent, games are going to be decided on the razors edge. Probably should have taken down LSU. Could have taken down Auburn if not for that killer ending. You need to take the season as a whole and appreciate the progress. The team carried the mantle of being a favorite well enough for their first time I can remember that didn't involve a Manning at QB. The progress isn't perfect, but it's obvious.

Three games in Oxford against teams at the time in the Top 5. You come out with a 2-1 record with the two wins against the two best teams to come in there and came very close to getting the third win. That's a huge step forward for the program.

The only team to beat Alabama,

If Alabama wins the Natty this year, we could be the only team to ever beat three national champions:

Notre Dame 1977
Florida 2008
Alabama 2014

Thats an accomplishment

And I wish Isaac Gross didn't see the field as often as he does but we can't always get what we want.

What is your obsession with Isaac Gross about? He has easily been one of our best players the last 3 years.

The loss to LSU pissed me off.
The loss to Auburn made me cry.
The loss to Arkansas made me realize I get way too emotionally involved with what 19 year old kids are doing.

The win over Alabama made my life.
The win over State made me laugh because we ruined their best season in ever.

Overall this is one of the most memorable seasons for me since Eli's Sr. year.
People were coming up to me in Colorado to talk about Ole Miss football. It was surreal.

I'm happy with the season. If we could have finished 10-2 with a win over LSU I would have been ecstatic.

Yes. We improved on last season and have improved at least one game every year under Freeze. We're headed in the right direction. If Freeze can hold on to everyone on his staff and sign another big class, we are going to be very dangerous over the next few years.

10 Wins are a real possibility to build on & the extra bowl practices.

Congrats on the Egg Bowl.

Depends...

Happy based upon expectations at the beginning of the season? Yup. I'm happy.

Happy based up expectations after the Alabama game? Not even close.

You act like 9 is so much less than 10, brah.

That is the stupidest justification for being OK with losing the eggbowl ever.

It's meant to be a compliment & nothing else.

I suspect you'll Win your Bowl Game, no matter the competition.

I talk no trash on your board.

P.S. I also posted you have a chance to Win 10 games when you were 8 & 3.

I still have the Clarion-Ledger from the 1977 Notre Dame Game.
