Ohio State has a 2nd and 3rd string QB better than any we have (granted, to this point that is). Frick the moron Kelly, why are we not going after one of them? There is no way Braxton should be considering Duke over a place like Ole Miss. Also Driskel released from UF to go wherever he wants, could we/should we bring him in to at least add competition? I can't see why not, IMO he just needs the right coaching and situation to be good. The talent is all around (minus OL). QB could be the game changer between playoffs and repeat of this year. We GOTTA do something different.

Also Ohio State recruits at a much higher level and is known for their QB play...

Driskel, frick no

This is why Shea Patterson is so important to us in 2016... Not only do we need a blue chip level QB, but we need to be able to show that yes, we too have the type of offense to really let a QB shine, like Ohio state does

But as far as next year, we could very well be in a serious bind

I can't believe Torrence Gibson hasn't at least looked around a little more with the qbs OSU has.

It's just like Kentucky basketball. If they can go there and be surrounded by that kind of talent and coaching, there is a better chance at the next level.

How many qb's have we put in the NFL? Answer that, and there is your answer for your question as to why tOSU commits, or QB commits to elite offensive programs aren't interested in other places.

I understand why the recruits choose tOSU out of high school, but my question was more concerning the 3 QB's who are there now, and how only one of them will be a starter. What becomes of the other 2? Transfer? And if so, why not pursue them?

Stopped reading at mention Driskel.

Don't know why anyone would want him.

I guess they stay because they get such great coaching, and playing time isn't important to them. It's rrepresenting a championship caliber program and getting a shot. Also, their qb's are apparently injury prone, so I guess they see the chance at getting quality playing time. It's happened what, 3 years in a row now?

You're an idiot. Anyways, I didn't feel like starting a thread, but do we have any shot of landing this Shea Patterson kid?

That would be the 2016 class, and would be in the recruiting thread.

May be reading too much into it but it was interesting that when they went to the bench they brought in DK and not Buchanon

May be because they wanted someone who had the ability to evade the all out rush due to the o-line getting shitted on. DK, unlike Bo and RB could get away.

I have to give DK credit, I hated him after the Arkansas game, but he looked slippery as frick vs TCU. Even when the defenders were right on top of him he'd slip out. It gave me a little more hope about him for next year.

I watched the whole thing, but I was at the bar and pretty sauced and I just started openly loling at us as the game went on.

Just saw that Kelly uploaded an Ole Miss pic recently....wonder if that means a deal has already been struck....he seems confident.
