O'Connor is pretty solid at UVA, but hell he's only been to the CWS twice. One of the trips was when E. Button fricked y'all out of going.

If y'all fire Bianco it will be similar to the Cutcliffe situation. Solid coach, but y'alls fanbase has grown tired and expects more. Hopefully for Ole Miss y'all won't hire the 1st base coach at Southern Cal.

OM has the resources to make a solid hire when it comes to baseball IMO.

I would completely trust Bjork in making a great hire, but I don't see him getting rid of Bianco.

I don't think he should right now. Wouldn't be smart. Now if this was year two and it was ending with a train wreck two years in a row....then yeah, that possibility needs to come up. Just not right now.

This is year 3 of the train wreck. We had as good of Friday and Saturday guys as anyone last year along with an All American and an All SEC player along with this same team and couldn't get past a very weak regional last year.

Train wreck would be not making it to post season play.

I think our standards for OM baseball are a little higher than making the tournament every year. We should be in the hosting conversation every year, period.

But if you want to wait until he has back to back train wrecks to fire him then get used to below .500 conference records and traveling as a 3 seed to regionals every year.

As tough as the SEC is now, no team should really expect this anymore.

Exactly. It's not as easy as people make it out to be.

He's saying be in the conversation. We aren't going to be in the conversation barring some unforeseen offensive renaissance.

One would think this Basketball season taught some of the Ole Miss fans to relax and let it all play out. The first answer to every problem cant always be lets fire him.

The team has hit a rough spot. Just let it play out and see what happens.

It took a feat only seen once before at Ole Miss to get Kennedy there. The problem here is winning.

It's not just a rough spot. Same over coaching, different year. We will be about 3 games under .500 in conference play, go 2 and out in Hoover and travel as a 2 or 3. Just like last year.

That is an absolutely awful comparison... Ole Miss baseball pays top 10 money... Has top 5 support... Top 5 facility wise... Our football team is none of those... Terrible, Terrible effort on your part... You're better than this Req... At least I thought you were.

The State fan that does the 3rdand57.com tweeted a picture of this thread. We are in their heads even when we are struggling.

I do not see Bianco getting fired unless he just misses the postseason completely. And I think he would need to do that two years in a row.

I just don't see the big deal letting him go if we miss the postseason this year... That would make 2 out of 3 years that we would've missed postseason play... And we're going to be bad next year... We've paid the guy millions of dollars... Everyone appreciates what Mike has built in Oxford but whether it's fair or not, Top 10 paid coaches get judged on CWS appearances.
