Remember this is UCLA. They have as many natties in softball as we claim in football. Very impressive! Get that little pitcher some help in the circle and they will be unstoppable. Scrappy bunch of girls.

I went on to bed when the game was tied in the 9th I believe it was and UCLA was coming up to bat. I fully expected to see we had gotten beat when I got up this morning and sure enough we had. But never would have expected to see us up 7-5 with two out in the 10th and we still let it slip away. I'm glad I did not witness that realtime. I know that had to really, really suck. I worry how we'll compete tonight.

Those two games were a very rare occasion where I felt like we could still walk away very proud despite not winning anything. UCLA probably felt like we didn't belong before the series but I suspect they had a different opinion afterwards. We SHOULD be quite dangerous next year. I was very impressed with our No 2 girl in the circle. If we hit more, just a little more, with runners in scoring position, we are still playing.
