think Kiffin is a good coach but damn it is blowing my mind that he may get a Jimbo contract.

Auburn may guarantee $100 million, but Ole Miss won't.

I love having him and he has been great. But he’s not worth that

He's actually already at the base of Jimbo's original contract as far as annual salary. Problem with the goal posts moving constantly is you either adapt or die. And the TV contracts will be worth about $90m a year or so by 2028. So invest now, be competitive later and reap the rewards.

This right here. Ole Miss will have an athletic budget of nearly $200M

I may have to eat crow on this but we pay Kiffin right now (Before this new contract) more than Auburn has ever paid any coach. Their highest ever was Malzahn at $6.9 million in 2020.

It's a stretch to think that an AD with only 18 days on the job, is trusted to spend $100 million on a first year HC. Not when you can go out and get Hugh Freeze or someone of that caliber for $5 million per year.

Fans like to spend other people's money but when it comes to financial investments, this is a pretty risky gamble, even for wealthy Auburn boosters.

Kiffin has been tweeting a lot of positive stuff about the Grove Collective the last couple days. TIFWIW.

Auburn 247 reporter said tonight:

You never know anything for certain until the paper is signed, but I feel more confident today than I have at any time that Lane Kiffin will be Auburn’s next head

No matter what happens a lot of people are going to end up being wrong. Just shows that no one really knows what's going to happen

I just asked him straight up gut feeling. Obviously only sexton and lane really know the endgame but it’s always fun to annoy him

Imagine how obsessed with us MSU is to send their AD to Auburn on a secret mission to buy our coach to stop us from winning.

Cohen probably retakes his position at MSU after Kiffin is hired for $150mill

Yeah it’s clearly distracting and a lot of it has to do with Kiffs job hopping reputation

Now, it looks the Mannings are right about our HC.

Yep. Called it. Won’t be surprised if State capitalizes on us too. Such a garbage way to end the season

Kiff owes it to the team to tell them what his plans are. By this point he’s made a decision.

Some State fans say that Leach may be gone this year regardless of what happens next week.

In what capacity? Fired? Retired? New job?

Most of the ones I talk to think he might retire. Several want him fired if they lose the egg bowl, though I don’t think they’ll pull the trigger.
