As much as I dislike the hire, having antifa-lite snapping their fingers in protest isn't going to do anything.

Its bad hire for many reason.. 1 He will keep the AD we got now mark it.. 2.. He will ride Luke and the whole He loves Ole Miss crap.. He will let the AD keep Luke around as long as he can just like Boone did with Nutt.. I can already see it..

Rather surprised the student government hasn’t banned such a group.

The great irony in all of this is that the IHL’s complete incompetence has united the ole miss community in a way we haven’t see in years. If I lived in oxford I would be out there protesting shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of people I disagree with on probably 99% of other issues.

It won’t do any good but bye golly I want to be angry for awhile. I want to make that guy’s life a living hell for a few days.

I bet that’s what AOC, Talib and Pelosi say to themselves.

Man don't even mention Tlaib's name. I live just south of Detroit, and she was on the local news this week saying that Detroit PD should only hire black analyst for the facial recognition program. Saying white people would be too racist to identify black people correctly. Even the Police Chief (black man), said she's being extremely racist, and that it is an insult to all members of the police force.

She's a straight up nutjob (obviously).

He is an unqualified candidate who was hired via an unfair and undemocratic process. Forums had been scheduled later in the month for student, faculty, and alumni to voice their opinions so this decision was made without any input from anyone affected by the decision.

This just reeks of conflict of interest:
quote:

Glenn Boyce, several months ago, met with a potential Ole Miss chancellor candidate regarding the position. Following the meeting, that candidate told others, “He wants the job as much as I do.”

and good old boy cronyism:
quote:

And instead of following the process that has been spoken about for months, the IHL ended the search (charade?) weeks early, bypassing the portion of the search for vetting candidate visits with university groups. Boyce never applied for the position, and the IHL awarded him an interview on Thursday when a board member moved to invite Boyce, per Mississippi Today’s Adam Ganucheau. He showed up 10 minutes later. The vote happened shortly after that conversation concluded.

He wasn't on the list of candidates. He was either a current or former IHL board member paid to help the chancellor "nation wide" search. He was called on his cell and asked if he would appear before the board one afternoon. He arrived within ten minutes and given the job.

He essentially hired himself

Those candidates suck and if you are upset about "missing out" on them and upset that this guy got it, then you are crazy. You're just being mad to be mad. I hated those candidates listed and now I have actual hope that we can get out of this cycle of crazy. Regardless of how he got hired, he was better than the rest of candidates.

How many times have we heard that we shouldn’t let students and liberal faculty have much if any say in choosing our leaders, etc.? So that just leaves alumni which apparently did have a say in choosing. Still trying to figure out why I should be so pissed off.

That line of thinking is why Luke is the head coach

You think someone from Holmes CC is the best we could do in a nationwide search? IHL called Billy bob while he was waiting at the McDonalds around the corner and handed him the job.

Regardless of how he got hired

This defeats your argument. The best individuals for a job don't need to be brought in the back door.
