At the end of May I'm telling Comcast to go pump themselves and going with Uverse. Were it not for my neighbor's trees I'd have Directv but I understand Uverse is the cats arse.

Call comcast and tell them you're going to Uverse. If they have equipment in your home they make more $$ if your bill is less than half of what it is now than they would if it was removed.

I pay $55 for what used to be $145. Every 6 months or so they'll audit something, the bill will increase, I'll call them about 8 times and bring it back down. They have terrible customer service, but if you're a calm but dissatisfied, persistant SOB they'll eventually drop it.

You should always do this no matter your provider. My UVerse bill just jumped to $202 because my last deal just ran out. I called them up today and told them I was switching to a deal Mediacom, our local cable company, was running. A quick conversation and my bill is now $134 and they even bumped me up to their top internet package.

Just ask for the retention department when you call in. Their job is to basically do whatever it take to keep you a customer.

We just did that with Terminix. Our bill went up $100/yr or 33/visit. We called and said we were canceling bc of that and they claimed that it was a mistake on their part and then actually dropped the bill by 10/visit.

Exactly. It's amazing what companies can suddenly do when you threaten to leave.

Metrocast sucks so much it is unreal. First I would venture to say 25% of my channels are basically unwatchable because the feed sucks so bad and it constantly cuts in and out. Second last night we ordered the mayweather fight and they did not offer it in HD in our area. What does that even mean?? How is that even possible my mind is still blown on that one. I cannot wait to move to a real city where I can at least get a reliable signal.
