Our RPI isn't terrible ESPN has us rank 59 in RPI.We gotta take care of business and win all of our home games. That would be wins over Florida,Kentucky, and Missouri.Avoid losing to bad teams on the road and we will get in.After we lost to State last year I thought our season was over. The weirdest thing is this team has been in every game this year. This team right now could be a top 25 team if they finished a couple of those losses. This team outside of Jarvis just isn't very consistent and that includes Henderson. If the other guys can be more consistent I think this team can make the dance.

Agree... we got in last year with 8 losses and people were still counting us out if we hadn't won the tourney. I think we can get in with 3 or maybe 4 more losses if we can win 2/3 of the KY/FL games.

I feel like this team is getting stronger but I'm not sure we get it done without a big run in the tourney again.

Oh and damn I didn't realize what we missed out on last year with Aaron Jones. He's putting up some good numbers. I think a little better than Buckner's averages last season.

The way we play in the last 2 mins is our weakness. Had we TCB in the final minutes of a few games we might have won. This team could easily be a one loss team. Kinda like football. Other than Bama we were in every game last fall. WAOM.

Lol @ you

In all seriousness, if we win a few of the 5 games vs UT/Florida/Kentucky and avoid major derps, we can have a chance if we make another run in the SECT.

68 teams get into the NCAAT - we aren't dead.

We'd be in great shape had a few bounces go our way in the non-con. Regardless, team looks solid right now and could be in prime position to go 13-5 if we continue at this current pace.

Perez is finally starting to get it together.

After Perez knocked down a couple of shots, his ball screens for Henderson were really effective due to the defense having to account for both.

I thought that technical foul was bull crap. Also we were dominating them once we setup our defense. Most of their scoring in the second half was due to us going ice cold and not getting back in time to setup a perimeter. Once we started matching them score for score it gave us a chance to get back and start working them over. It slowed them down and the momentum eventually came our way. Henderson knocking down back to back 3s was huge.

I have never been much of a basketball guy but I am really trying to get interested into it. What I wanna know is why did Terrico White decide to leave Ole Miss as early as he did? Did his grades suck or did he actually think he could make it in the NBA?

You get a pretty fat paycheck playing in Europe.

To be fair, he had a chance in the NBA but had terrible luck and suffered an injury in the preseason. Terrico was a hell of an athlete.

and....

Yeah but come on you know the kid wanted to play in the NBA. Why not stay another year and work on your game?

He probably got advice that he was not going to crack the first round. Can't fault a guy for going to the NBA and pulling in 400-500k a year in Europe.

He was on the pistons for a year or so.

ETA: second round draft pick by the pistons actually.

If I'm not mistaken he left after his sophomore season. He was making strides with the Pistons then blew his knee out. The guy was/is super athletic and arguably the best dunker in the league. I don't feel like posting a link but feel free to youtube some of his highlights. I did see where he's been going wild in Turkey (or wherever he's at) with some 30 point games lately.

Eta: I still regret not going to Rudy Gay's charity game at the Desoto Center in 2011. Lebron, Terrico, etc. were there and T. White was by far the most entertaining with the freak dunks

He had a great shot to play in the league, as do most second round picks. Let's be honest, it wasn't going to help him develop his game staying in Oxford.

Not to change the subject, but does anyone know of an extra ticket to the game against State tomorrow? I was hoping one of my friends who is still in school would be able to get me one, but so far no luck. TIA

I'm looking for a ticket too. I graduated in December and my ID won't work now.

It doesn't matter.

My buddy who has been out of school for like 2 years will sometime go to games with us. They will scan his ID and the scanner makes the obviously wrong dinging noise but they will let you in anyway.

The night they gave out the replica championship rings I showed up an hour early, they scanned my ID, then I left and got something to eat. I came back right before tipoff and the scanner made the wrong noise, but they let me go right on in.

It's even easier at baseball games. You'll probably be able to get into those up until they start implanting chips into our wrists.

That worked at a baseball game for me last year. I just figured they might be more strict at basketball games. Good to know they aren't
