Out of the two, I wasn't too concerned about Cummings. He was from Florida and it seemed like it worked out for the best. I really hate we missed on Reed though.. that dude is a player..
We were in on three really kickass Juco DTs. We got one of them. I'm fine with that. I'd love to have both Reed AND Hooks up front wrecking shite, but Hooks should be pretty solid regardless next to Woody Hamilton, Bryon Bennett, or Carlton Martin.

If CJ doesn't play for them, that is huge. He is damn good pass rusher, and without him, they might as well forget it. THe rest probably aren't going to start anyway, and I doubt Kailo plays at all this year. Track guy.

He's a ball hawk and a beast. Put on like 20lbs since last fall and everyone expect him to grow to 220lbs with his frame. He's a little lost but is currently our 4th safety as long as Alford doesn't get his waiver

His highlights are fun to watch. Very athletic. Glad we got him.

I know Derrick personally and am really excited about his future at OM. I assumed he would struggle a little this year (and probably redshirt) because he was the most athletic person on the field everytime he played. High school ball seemed easy for him since he was from Eupora. He's got a good head on his shoulders and a great frame to grow into. He's gonna be a hell of a player. Like WIO said, he's a ball hawk. Can't wait until he can break into the rotation.
Funny story, he was a terrible TURRIBLE basketball player. Same as football though, he was always the most athletic person on the floor but couldn't hit the damn backboard when he shot. He could dunk and make lay-ups and that was about it. But he was so athletic, teams couldn't keep him from getting to the rim. Coaches started to realize toward the end of the year to just foul him when he got ball, regardless of where he was on the court. One game he was 1-16 from the free-throw line
I asked him if he needed me to show him how to shoot a FT, he just looked down and laughed and said 'i know man, I do really suck at shooting, that's the worst part of playing basketball.' Hey at least he had a good sense of humor about it
