It's going to be embarrassing how few people show up for that game. It's going to be a home game for Texas Tech

The Cotton Bowl game in '08 was in Dallas and it looked about 50/50 until the TT fans cleared out. Then it looked more like 60/40 Ole Miss.

It's a holiday weekend and I have family close to Houston, so I"m going.

Good thing for Ole Miss there is a big alumni base in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.

I will definitely be in Nashville and Little Rock. If my transfer comes through in October, I'll be in Dallas. So I will drive down to College Station for that game.

I'm thinking I should be able to make at least 8 games. Could be more depending on when my transfer goes through.

I do believe the turn out will be better than the Boise St. game in Atlanta.

I'm thinking I'll make all the games in my living room until about half way through the third quarter. Then I'll kick a hole in the sheetrock because of our defense and go clean the garage.

Texas Tech will easily have more fans but as someone from Houston I can tell you Texas Tech doesn't have a very big presence and isn't going to bring that big of a crowd either, probably about the same size crowd for the Boise State game

The official attendance figure for the 2014 Boise State game was 32,823. I was there, and I can tell you that figure is not even close. There may have been 20,000 people there, counting the Georgia Dome staff.

Tech hasn’t played many neutral site games lately, other than their yearly clash with Baylor in Dallas.

I will say it has been harder for me to come around free tickets than it normally is for college games at NRG, so I doubbt if it's going to be as empty as yall think it will be. I would guess at least 45,000 probably close to 50,000 which would be 2/3rds capacity.

We are gonna get the cheapest ticket we can find just to get in. We'll stay near a outlet so I can visit Nike. (Sneakerhead)

While I agree, some interesting facts.

Oxford to Houston is only a 45 minute longer drive than Lubbock to Houston. Jackson, MS is 2 hours closer than Lubbock to Houston.

I do not expect a large TT section either, but more than Ole Miss of course. TT has games in Fort Worth and Arlington later in the season, so many DFW fans will not make the drive.

It was a Thursday night game in Georgia and one of the teams was from Idaho. Everyone could see that coming

I'll be in Houston for the game. Planning on scalping a ticket though. My friends and I are in the process of trying to find an Air BnB for the weekend. We are also doing a big tailgate before and after the game. It should be a good time. All are welcomed.

I live in Birmingham right now, so it's not a bad drive to Oxford. Hoping to make all the home games and possibly road trip to Baton Rouge and Nashville.

Dores, you need to hit the clearance center in Memphis sometime on your way to or from Oxford. Can get some sweet deals.

It's fun to watch the first game of your team, especially in a nice venue with beatable opponent. There's Ole Miss alumni & fans in Texas, you know that right? It's not as bad as you make it seem.

I think you're dead wrong. We will have a good turnout, maybe not great but good. People like football not boycotting which we all know is lame.

Bet we don't. shite frick of a head coach that nobody is excited about in a year where it literally doesn't matter if we win 2 or 10 games since there's no postseason. Plus it's in Houston. There's not that many Ole Miss people in Texas that will go to this game especially since it's meaningless

So what’s the OM attendance going to be? Besides no one because our coach sucks. Your opinion doesn’t speak for every OM fan... not even close...

15k at the most. And if you don't think most Ole Miss fans think like I do, go look at our season ticket sales and how much less our donations are compared to when Freeze was here.
