You could debate "loosing" Allen had something to do with it, but I'd argue that DT and Bird were just better LBs than what we have currently. CJ isn't a LB and Nkemdiche is horrible in coverage since his injuries. The backup guys are filler guys and just aren't that good. We missed in recruiting LBs and it shows.

The guy has taken some diamonds and created a very formidable defense. It has its lapses, but much of that can be blamed on lack of depth and exhaustion because the offense sucks and the defense is almost always on the field.
