So because of the construction and the absolute chaos of parking last year, they restricted commuter tags by a lot
So they decide to let everyone try and login at the same time for first come, first serve parking passes
It started at 8 am, crashed until about 9 (I was told not a single pass was given out before 9), then worked intermittently from 9 to 10 and still
I luckily got through but it was after literally 300 or 400 tries

a friend emailed the douche in charge...about an hour ago he said only about 50 or 8000 commuter passes had been sold

Man I'm glad I don't have to deal with that bullshite.
With the construction on Old Taylor Road and on the new arena, it's going to be a legendary cluster frick when school starts. Like you're going to have to leave your house/apartment at 7 to make it to class by 8.

2014-2015 Permits Available - UPDATE!! (11:30am)
Due to extreme traffic to the system, parking permits will be sold on a staggered basis according to parking designations beginning at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 6.) Registration will open to the following groups at the times listed below.
There are a set number of permits allotted for each residential zone. Purchases for a particular zone do not affect permits available in another zone.
Since there is no shortage of permits for fraternity and faculty/staff spaces, registration for those groups will open at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 8.
Continue to monitor Ole Miss websites and social media for updates.

So glad I do not have to deal with parking on that campus anymore except for Gameday. But with all of the bourbon flowing through my veins, my frustration is limited during those parking experiences

I only got a year left, hopefully since I got a pass they will be limited enough to where it won't be a 20 min drive around the law lot to find a spot

Heard from my football friend that the players had a meeting and some of them said there are only 1,000 commuter passes available for sale this morning.. Not sure if that's true. Still don't understand why fricking freshmen have a car on campus. Ole Miss is the only school out of all the schools my family members have/are attending/ed that allows freshmen to park on campus.
