Mesquite Chophouse wasn't terrible the one time I had a dinner there.

But it's yet another chain, or at least not the original
It's not nearly as good as it costs.

There's one of those on Union though. No need to go to MS.

Yeah, I thought it was pricey for what it was. I really can't think of any good original places down there.

There aren't any. Dale's in Southaven is the only non chain restaurant in DeSoto (other than a couple of hole in the walls), and it is nothing special.

I used it for a dinner event for customers, but would never again. The private dining room was way too small.

The one here or in MS? The one here looks tiny. Like smaller than McEwens.

MS. It was cramped with 8 people.

Isn't there a Dale's in Clarksdale?

I highly doubt it's the same place. This is a local family restaurant named after Dale

In Clarksdale it's a bbq/hamburger place.

Yeah the Southaven one is a southern cooking Ajax style place

Isn't there a Vietnamese place near the kohls (I think) on Goodman? That place was decent.

There's one at goodman and Malone, I haven't tried it.
There used to be an awesome Thai place at Goodman and Swinea, but it went out of business because the locals would rather eat at New Hunan

What does everyone think of South in Tupelo? I am going tomorrow and have yet to go.

It's in what obviously was a Shoney's. Other than that it's not too bad.
