As Ole Miss Board Sheriff, I feel like I owe the members an apology for not believing in our coach and OM savior Freezus. I never doubted he was a solid coach leading OM to greener pastures, but I had serious doubts on just how green those pastures were. I was afraid they were some of that yellow-green BS grass MSU's turfgrass team grows.

What was evident when watching Saturday's game was something more than a "better team" winning. Freezus has built a program that extends past the X's and O's. While there is solid recruiting involved, Ole Miss generally plays fundamentally sound football and executes.

This was in stark contrast to Gus Malzahn and my AubieWahEaglez. I assumed Gus was the superior coach because I believed he was schematically superior. That his offense could outgun someone like Freeze and we would continually win.

What I realized today is that Auburn could win against Ole Miss this year, but it doesn't change that Freeze has inspired Ole Miss players/fans believing in the program. That is something that someone like Gus has not been able to do. You can see as Fournette curbstomped our safeties that it was token effort. In stark contrast, Ole Miss players play hard every play and show effort. They may get beat, but it wasn't lack of execution/effort.

Look forward to seeing ya'll play out the season. Hoping for the best for you (except against Auburn) and excited to see the ReBears future success

You're a great credit to your fanbase. Glad to have an outsiders views on our coach and program. We're pretty smitten with him, even despite of his sometimes questionable game day decisions, but it's nice that his value is noticed outside of our fans. Kind of lends credence to our views on him.

He is changing the culture at Ole Miss in a way that I can't imagine Ole Miss being in the cellar. It is hard to be consistently dominant, but down years will be "off years" not "horrible seasons"

I thought Gus was doing that at AU but clearly he isn't. It is clear there is no fight and change being made
