Who do you believe will have a better first year at Ole Miss, and why?

Who gets more playing time?
Who gets more pass breakups/Ints?
Who has the better coverage skills?

Who will be a harder hitter?

Also: Who will be one of the standout players?

Tony Connor, Elston, Brown, Hampton, Shepard, Bridges, etc.

Cannot wait!!

Playing time... If not equal, Bridges... He's more versatile

Coverage and pass breakups/ints.... Tee... His reaction speed is remarkable and will have the entire flat shut down

Harder hitter, Bridges (since Tony isn't asked in this question)

Tee Shepard has a little bit better of a year.

Who knows about the other questions.

Breeland Speaks has the best single highlight on the team this year. Cant wait to make a gif of it!

DL

To answer the OP it's hard to say seeing as neither has played in the SEC yet. Webster is supposedly making a strong push for Tee's spot also, so idk TTFWIW.

Tee Shepard will be back in red and blue again this time next year... Bridges will be in an NFL training camp.

Hilton is probably my favorite returning player in the secondary and there are some crazy talented players back there. Hilton is very versatile and will be a real leader whether he is on the field or not.

Everyone that I have spoken to about Tony Bridges tells me he is one and done. They tell me his the better of the 2 because of his physicality. That's not to say Tee isn't physical, just that Tony is a beast out there. Regardless, we have 2 good ones in TnT and our 3rd CB ain't too bad either in Ken Webster, who I'm thrilled about being our #3 guy. In years past he would be our #1 with many question marks after him.

The difference in this years defense over last season's defense will be the coverage skills of the secondary.

With the ability to bring in a Webster as the nickel CB and have a Safety like Hilton who played corner on the field behind these guys, they will be tough.

Remember how we could'nt seem to stop those 3rd down passes? It was because we couldn't play enough man coverage, because Prewitt did not cover well. Obviously he has found out in the NFL, safeties have to be cover guys also.

The defense will be awesome and both corners will be great this year.

I think everyone should be cautious about proclaiming this secondary better than last year's. The 4 guys last year had played together forever and knew what each of the others would do before he did it. Just because Shepard and Bridges are gifted doesn't mean the secondary will have the same chemistry.

It's amazing that we've gotten this far into a thread and no one has mentioned the our top five cornerbacks on our roster:

Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan and Dylan
