Robert had an incredible game. He was very disruptive, took up a few guys, and got held an unreal amount. His presence was certainly felt. Gates is a monster, he was not talked about much despite being a four star.

#74 was holding Rob on every play just about.

Did we get a new magnolia bowl trophy? This one looks like a shelf and more sturdy than the last one with the brass magnolia that fell off

If ya'll say Rob did well, I'll take your word for. I'd have to go back and focus on him on a every snap to say for sure. However, to say he was held on every play and that's why he didn't do more...well... I don't know about that.

Rob did well. He was getting held a lot, but his job in our defense is to be disruptive and take on a couple guys so other guys can make plays.

Where has Chief Brown been. He should have been playing all year.

That stadium was rocking early on.

I'm usually one to agree but I swear it seemed like every snap that I focused on him he was either a) double teamed b) tackled to the ground or c) just plain held

Oh yeah, I agree on the holding. He definitely was held a bunch. Seems like both teams did a bunch of that.

On another note, I guess we'd rather State beat Arky, huh? Sure was tough to pull for them, though, considering they beat us. Oh well.

Yeah, same here. I'm starting to believe what so many said that that was Memphis's Super Bowl. I didn't put a lot of stock into that at the time, but they sure have tanked since. Losses to all good teams, but still.

The Arky thing was, obviously enough, just pure dumb luck. Still stings just the same nonetheless. The kind of missed opportunity that travels through Ole Miss football once in a lifetime. Maybe that will change with Freeze and future recruits.

I kind of wanted State to lose bc then we would be guaranteed to finish ahead of them in the west standings.

Same thought crossed my mind cause this SEC West thing depending on Auburn working some sorta miracle ain't happening. But then we'll still finish ahead just by beating State. If we had finished ahead but still lost to them wouldn't have made any difference.

My question is why does our Florida loss count toward the West standings

It's an SEC loss. Divisions don't matter when it comes to that.

Same reason the Vandy win counts.

Chad Kelly NFL level interview skills

He gives you some emotion and some tid bits but always holds back some and relays humble emotions.

He avoids answering some questions in certain ways and has stock responses. But if im an NFL Gm this guy is a team guy and wont be a liability.

COmpared to a guy like Ezekiel Elliot we are extremely lucky.

Chad Kelly running into that dumbass bouncer at the club was the best thing that happened to him. He new he had all the strikes against him. He doesnt go out he lives in the film room.

Breaking records in his first year and has one of the best arms ive ever seen. We are witnessing something historic.

That kid is all heart. That fricking cartwheel touchdown was a thing of beauty.

How crazy is it that we're about to watch a duel between the two best QBs in the SEC and they're at the MS schools?

I'm nervous as shite about the egg bowl, but excited for a badass game at the same time.

The number of TDs between Dak and Kelly might get pretty fricking stupid.

Are y'all running a hurry up pretty regularly now? If y'all are then this score is going to be stupid.

I mean...we had a TOP of about 15 minutes against Arky and still scored 50 points. If both our teams run hurry up this game is even going to embarrass Big12 teams.

It seemed like we did last night but to be honest I was so pissed for much of the third quarter I couldn't tell you for sure.

However, I am pretty sure that game last night took a few years off the ole ticker.

got held an unreal amount

That was the crazy thing yesterday. It seemed like the Refs had a quick meeting after the 1st two series and said:

"listen guys, these Tigers are getting penalties every other play. It's going to get cold and if we call this game legit it will be 10PM before we get out of here. Let's not call anymore blocks in the back or holds on them the rest of the day okay?"

It was pretty damn crazy how blatant the holding got. I think the players on both teams realized at one point that the refs weren't calling it anymore and just stopped giving a frick about hiding it.

That long-arse run that Harris ripped off in the 3rd or 4th quarter on a scramble had Haynes tackled to the ground right in plain view and then I THINK Webster being held with 5 foot of jersey visible on down the field.

I'm just glad they called the one that mattered on Fournette's first huge run that wouldn't have even happened if not for that hold.
