Bad attitude problem. He was always getting into physical and verbal spats with coaches and players. We. Do. Not. Need.

ETA: The guy calls himself Swag Kelly by the way.

Unproven and we have almost everyone coming back next year. It's not the kind of team you want to waste breaking in basically rookie QBs if there's a better option. Kelly is at least getting action at EMCC and from what I can tell he's doing well (8 games 65% completion, 2500 yards and 30 TDs and only 5 interceptions). I don't really like taking kids who have been kicked out of other programs but I'll trust the staff.

I don't want to repeat the Masoli fiasco.

I think that move is what lost the team for good for Nutt.

I'm just afraid of it hurting our chances with high school QB recruits. We have a history of taking JUCO guys, and I think that could hurt us with top end QB recruits

No doubt. Masoli was the only thing good about that team.

I said bringing in Masoli was a major reason why the team gave up on Nutt. I never said Masoli sucked. Masoli was solid, but bringing him in was probably more detrimental than productive. Nutt sacrificed team chemistry for a few wins over shite teams.

Bringing in a player to start over players that have been in the program for a few years busting their arse to get an opportunity to play only to have it taken away by some dude that arrived on campus a couple months ago doesn't earn brownie points with the grinders on the squad.

NVM. I don't even feel like defending a Nutt decision.

If I was on the team I would've been giddy to add a dominant play maker like Masoli. Unless I was the shitty qb who was now riding the bench.

Yeah it depends on how the team felt about Nathan. Obviously the coaches weren't sold.

Kelly got into the coaches face and basically cussed at him about a play call.

If Coach Freeze though the RB/DK would be ready he wouldn't be going after Kelly.

Kelly is not a Masoli.

Their is already a crystal ball to us.

I REALLY hope this kid chooses somewhere else. I don't care if next year he won the Heisman. I'd admit the coaches made the right choice, but I would stand by my view of it's too much of a risk.

Getting that kid essentially is saying you don't think RB or DK are good enough. You get JUCO qbs to play.

David just said Kelly has made multiple visits to OM unofficially and off the grid. "Incognito" is the word he used.
