Posted on OT but you know how that goes.
Would you like this as your first car as a 16 year old male? Planning on getting one to restore with my son for time with him and wrench education to make him a better man.
No big lift kit, 4 point harness seats, install collapsible steering column and a roll bar.

Hell yes.
My first vehicle was a 1979 Chevy pickup-4x4, 350, short wheel base, brown with custom rust holes in the fenders behind the wheels. To get your girl a little closer, all you had to do was take a hard right turn, and she'd slide right across the vinyl seat and into your waiting arm.

I had a 1987 Ramcharger 4x4 in High school with a hot 360 in it. I loved that truck.

My first car was a Gremlin so yeah I'd take this in a NY minute.

It would be frame off restoration so beefier brakes would be on the list.

Hell yea when I was 15 (2005) I bought a 72 Chevy c10 for 900 bucks and completely rebuilt the engine and redid the interior by myself. Then I bought a 77 K5 blazer Cheyenne and did the same to it. Loved driving those trucks then I got a 99 gmc z71 when I was 16 cause getting 6 mpg with 3 dollar gas sucked so I just kept the old ones as projects then sold them before college

I think my first was a 97 accord. I got it around 2004 and drove it until I went to college. I would take that any day over a truck.

You gave it once. Was there a need for twice? Nerd.
ETA: I apologize for calling you a nerd.

Everyone started posting their first vehicles and I felt left out.

Not my first car, but I had a 1975 Chevy Cheyenne Blazer in college. No top, no doors and not a single body panel you couldn't put your fist through a rusted hole. It was awesome.
Picture the one below in a faded black with severe rust accents.
