Anywhere from 24-48 hours? even if there was no money offer on the table I've been reading that the real house is still around and they have trouble renting it or selling it. I think I'd be too chicken to stay in it overnight I didn't go to my first Halloween haunted house till after I graduated highschool

Sure, why not? Considering the whole thing was a hoax.

Yeah man that place is baller. I'd drink beer on that back deck that overlooks the lake while waiting on ghouls.

Sort of related. My dad lives across the street from a house where there was a triple murder + suicide maybe 10 years ago. This is in a fairly upscale neighborhood in West Knoxville.

In fact, if I remember correctly, the local media interviewed him after it happened. Since then, the house has been owned by 4 different families.

No reports of paranormal activity, as far as I know. But I would feel weird about staying in that house.

Yes. The only thing we should fear is fear itself.

The haunting stuff was a hoax but wasn't there a real life brutal murder in that house that spawned the haunting hoax?

That alone would make me not want to stay there.

Of course, I live in an 111 year old house, so I'm sure someone croaked up in here at some point but ignorance is bliss.

Yes, the Defeo family was murdered in that house, the Lutz family moved in afterward and concocted the hoax.

I've been in the house the Clutter family was murdered in from Truman Capote's book "In Cold Blood". The spookiest part was driving down the tree row to the house, and the blood stains that are still on the cinder block walls in the basement.

I have visions often and while reading your message I had one. I don't mean to alarm you but there is a history of evil in your home. A man stabbed a woman to death by the room adjacent to the kitchen. It was a quick but clear vision and rather disturbing. Sorry that is all I can help you with.

Exactly

BTW, I've been to the house, a couple of times actually back in the day.

But yeah, the whole thing was a hoax by the Lutz family.

Yes, because there is no such thing as ghosts.
