I have worked in offices where I was the only male and in offices where everyone was male. The pettiness was identical. However, men are much more likely to get into fights over it.

now, i work with all men (directly anyway). they gossip just as much as the women i've worked with in the past and aren't really anymore funny than the women either.
right now i work with the biggest bitcher/whiner/complainer i've ever worked with and i've been in the workforce for 20 something years now.
that said, i'd just as soon work with men.

Different race for sure. The differences among races are few and superficial. Some say they don't exist at all. Women though? Mars and Venus. Generally they are terrible to work with. Just fricking terrible.

Ok, now this I never got: why are some so hung up on which gender is "funnier"? A joke's a joke to me--guys really aren't any better at delivering them or riffing along humorously than gals, in my experience

exactly, i don't get it either. men may be easier to joke with at times but in my experience aren't inherently funnier.

why the frick did you hire one to begin with? i've met maybe 2 technically skilled women in the field and i've been doing this for a long time.
it may be sexist, but they make great sales, helpdesk, marketing, and design in the tech world, but are severely lacking in the technical side.

it's not even that they aren't good they are just... what is the world i'm using for.. not logical lol. Like you can't criticize them without them taking it personal.
The last woman i hired i made cry becuase i told her that her code on a pretty simple site was not good. it was dogshit lol.
we've had probably 40 projects this year so far, we've had 3 cancelled and all three were women. 80% of our projects that get cancelled are women clients.
