The U.S. is against it...I believe it was because they don't want Iran taking over Iraq and controlling the oil..and killing all the Sunni.

I'd be all for Iran taking it to ISIS. Let them battle it out. They want to get into Iraq so bad because ISIS is killing the Shia(Shiite). frick the oil, I'd rather save U.S. lives than worry about some Oil in Iraq.

Sunni's are sick frickers....Osama was a sunni, Al Queda are sunni's, ISIS are sunni's...al shabab are sunni's. Sunni's are the ones that are terrorists. I say if Iran wants to fight them...let Iran take the lead.

I'm all for it if we weren't so dependent on oil.

Just think about this lil agreement/treaty with Iran going on from major powers...wonder if anything else is being worked on behind the scenes. Think people in that part of the world are getting sick of ISIS. Somebody needs to go in there(mid East) and start killing, frick sunni civilians...Iran is the country to do it.

But then Israel would get pissed, Saudi's will be pissed, Egypt will be pissed. frick em.

I'm sure the back channels are being worked very hard. Or at least intermediaries are busy. If you're pitting Sunni vs shite, then yes, Iran would be your huckleberry. And they would frick ISIS right in the pussy. However, I'm sure the intl community would see this as some sort of attempt to overstep their bounds and shite would start. Like you said, several countries in the region would get all yipped up about it.

Well Hezbollah is a Shiite terrorist organization and there are others. And lets not forget that Iran and Syria are Shiite governments with repressive regimes. Its not like Shiites are clearly better than Sunnis.

But I think the best thing for us to do is stay out of it. There was a point where we could have intervened and prevented the destabilization of Syria that created the environment for ISIS to grow, but that point has come and gone. The efforts to rid the region of ISIS need to be carried out by the countries in that region because its not as simple as airstrikes. ISIS is too ingrained in the civilian population now.

Lets hope that the recent destabilization of the region has taught us the lesson that the enemy you know is better than the one you don't. The dictatorial regimes in Lybia, Egypt and Syria, while bad for their citizens didn't effect US citizens here at home. The Arab Spring which many at the times thought to be a good thing instead caused chaos in Lybia which resulted in our embassy being attacked and ambassador killed, Egypt being led by the Muslim Brotherhood, and Syria falling into a devastating civil war in which 200,000+ have been killed, chemical weapons used on civilian populations, and ISIS being born.

TL;DR- I don't care what they do over there, as long as they don't kill Americans and Iran doesn't get nukes

I assume you meant we aren't very dependent on their oil? If so, we are still very dependent on their oil. We can only supply a fraction of our oil demand. Those low gas prices you saw awhile back? That was OPEC pricing others (domestic) out of the market.

Forgot about them...

This ISIS shite is just crazy...frickers get online and get brainwashed or travel to mideast..join them then come here wanting to shoot and kill. Pisses me off. Wish there was some way the U.S. could block ISIS sites and twitter.

Is twitter american owned?? Don't see how they let ISIS tweet shite.

I think so. Iran is going through a cultural shift with the younger generation. They are well educated and much more progressive than the older ones. They will be an important part of any stability in the region. Which all depends on Israel creating a compromise with Palestine.

They're all ready kind of taking on ISIS, Tikrit was their baby and they fricked up royally. I want Turkey and Saudi Arabia to take on ISIS. They could end this quite quickly.
