I found that book at Hastings the other day and laughed for a solid 5 minutes
Samuel L.'s reading of it kills me, too.

I am in the minority that I wouldn't mind being the War Eagles. I guess we could still keep Aubie around like Bama does with Big Al.
War Eagles is much more identifiable with Auburn, for sure. Every time I've been to Auburn, I'm always struck by the confusion that the duopoly of animal iconography provides. Pick one and stick with it.
For the Aggot that suggested changing their name to the Oilers, that would be awesome. But I like the late-90s Edmonton colors of navy and copper better than the old Houston Oilers.
Agree with the Reb who mentioned that if they were forced to change, they should go back to the Flood. Badass.
I love USC's colors, particularly as they're the actual color of our mascot, but if we ever had to change, I'd go with the Generals, and the colors should be blue and white like the state flag. Make the UK games confusing as frick, though.

Believe it or not, that wasn't really on purpose, or meant to be particularly demeaning. I think of it like mAggot, not ****, and akin to "grunt" for the military connection.

Oh ok. I wasn't mad btw, that one was a favorite of most of the rest of the big12 and they did use it as a pejorative
Hadn't thought of it any other way since
