Would/do you get everyday clothes tailored for minor improvements?

It's hard to buy things that fit just right off the rack.

Getting into Conor Mcgregor the last couple years I've increasingly become more conscious of my clothes fitting just right.

I'll get a t-shirt taken in on the sides. Jeans hemmed just a half inch or so.

If I was as much of a baller as him I wouldn't feel so dumb. But sometimes I feel like this is abnormal and a waste of money. I already know most people don't do this, but curious if some others do it.

Just wondering what the wonderful collection of humans on here thinks about this.

I'm a very oddly proportioned human - for clothes to look good on me, I have to have them tailored, or at least custom ordered. Not all of my stuff is, but all of my dressier outfits are.

16" neck
37" arms
48" chest
32" waist
36" inseam

I'm a fricking nightmare

I'm not talking about circumference - I'm woefully thin. I just have long limbs.

But if your arms are half my length....damn, bro, how tall are you?

Finding pants that will comfortably house an anaconda is a problem.

I have been known to get my underwear cinched up in order to accentuate my penis and ball bag.

Has really helped my sex life fwiw.

How did it take until November of 2016 for someone to finally get the user name "UF"

I would have thought that shite went off the rack within the first 2-3 years

This social experiment went as expected.

There is tremendous fear of certain things as a result of deep political branding.

It's one of the saddest things going on in the world.

Why would you get a t-shirt taken in on the side? T-shirts are supposed to hang loosely. If you t-shirt is tight, you are buying 2 sizes too small unless you're a girl.

I hate t-shirts being 'tight'.

That's not why I've done it -- the opposite really. I like t's to fit normal.

I'm 5'10. Athletic build. Usually between 177-182. Height and weight ratios are really arbitrary because of other factors, so if you're reading this and are in that range and don't have issues, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't.

I find it incredibly difficult to find shirts that fit loosely enough in the shoulders but not too long and wide at the torso and waist.

Mediums fit greet on length and on the sides, but often make me feel uncomfortable in the shoulders and arms.

To fix this I've bought some large t's and had them taken in on the sides and length.

I don't feel so bad now

18-18.5" neck
35" arms
50-52" chest
36" waist
32" inseam

So yes I get a lot of my clothes tailored or custom made when dealing with suits and dress shirts.

Think he means a true "undershirt" as in under a dress shirt so you don't sweat through it. If not, and meaning a true tee-shirt then that is just a tad more then weird.

No. Not what I meant. Think it would be more weird to get an undershirt tailored than a nice t-shirt that you wear all the time out.

Don't like having a t-shirt hang down way below my waist so it can fit in my shoulders.

Not talking about 15-20 dollar knock-around t's.

Talking about a nice t-shirt. Buck Mason. James Perse. My plain black, sand, and grey t's that I wear all the time to go out in.

Sportswear stuff is really necessary, but luckily lulu does that for free. Mediums in those shirts look so gay. So tight upper. But larges are huge at the waist.

when Frankl wrote "man's search for meaning", this is not what he had in mind.
